If a half-mile of Lake Michigan shoreline isn't enough water, Grand Mere State Park has three inland lakes that were formed by Ice Age glaciers. Challenge your family to climb the impressive dunes, remnants of glacial recession, not far from where Stevensville homes for sale now stand.
No need to leave Fido behind. The dog-friendly park even allows your leashed pet to frolic alongside you in the water.
Grand Mere State Park is open daily from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. A Recreation Passport is required for entry to all Michigan state parks.
Double your fun at Rocky Gap County Park, which is essentially two parks in one. The lower level features 1,100 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline with sandy beaches, while the upper Overlook Deck provides Instagram-ready panoramic views of the lake.
Hours are 8 a.m. until dusk daily, and there are no entrance fees.
